FAQs

Are all your photos documentary style?

Not quite. I love documenting your day. It’s the main objective of my work. I prioritise these photos for 90% of the day. However, weddings deserve more than just that. I also take family portraits, and I take stunning couple photos. I’m not into awkward posing so I have a different approach. I like to take the bride and groom for a walk. This usually happens around sunset as beautiful light is everything to a photographer. I may ask the couple to walk or stand in a certain area or to touch foreheads for example. Couples love the experience of these photos. It’s a chance to breathe. A moment to take it all in.

Why don’t you use a second photographer?

Basically, I don’t need one. A large part of my approach is going unnoticed. This is much easier with one photographer than two. At the end of the day, it’s your wedding. Teams of photographers, videographers, content creators and the like can be distracting to say the least. I like to keep it simple.

Why are many of your images black + white?

I deliver all edited images in both B+W and colour. Black and white suits my photojournalistic approach and I love the look. It’s timeless and to me, that’s important for wedding photography. In saying that, I also love colour. If you don’t like black and white, that’s ok. You’ll get all the photos in colour too. If you love black and whites, it’s an easy choice.

When will I receive my images?

You will receive a small selection of images within a week as a sneak peek. All images will be available in a private gallery in high resolution in black + white and colour, available for download 4 weeks after your wedding.

Which areas do you service?

I am based in Brisbane, QLD and photograph weddings primarily from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast. If you are getting married somewhere else, feel free to contact me for further info.

How do we book?

Send me an email or fill out the contact form to check date availability. From there we can have a chat to confirm I’m the photographer for you. I’ll then send through a contract for you to sign and a $2000 non-refundable retainer (deducted from total package price) is required to secure the date.
